Readers have already been spoilt with tasty morcels in previous postings however this serving is perhaps the most generous yet!
You have already read about Council Leader McGregor here regarding the arrangement with his private investigations entity that carries out work on behalf of Anglesey Council.
The Photon kindly carried out a FOI Act request and posted IoACC's responses however this triggered a "joining up the dots" at this end and with some friendly help further revealing information is available hereunder.
Consider the following dates and events:
1. 1998 Stradling Report regarding Anglesey Council - please go to section 47 onwards - Download 1998 Ceri Stradling report on IoACC_ocr
2. YnysMon.com posting: http://www.ynysmon.com/2010/09/anglesey-council-leaders-portfolio-includes-legal-and-procurement-.html

4. Look carefully at the dates here....
Mon Investigations (Council Leader Clive McGregor) was firstly "employed" by IoACC in 1998 and referring to the Stradling report (above) Section 47 "Housing Benefit Fraud Investigation" the date was 1997.
Bearing in mind the 1998 Stradling report it is interesting to note The Council Leader some some 12 years later may have disregarded its contents.....despite the fact some areas referred to his personal entity Mon Investigations and the inappropriate arrangement entered into with Anglesey Council that was later undone.
Clive McGregor was elected as a County Councillor on 2nd May 2008 however in the "declaration of members interests" which is an Anglesey Council constitutional AND statutory requirement Concillor Clive McGregor failed to register his external interest in "Mon Investigations"
Nevertheless 15 months following his election as Councillor, Clive McGregor then registered his interest in Mon Investigations.......this is 19th August 2009
On 26th March 2009 Cllr Clive McGregor was appointed a director of YM Investigations.
On 10th June 2009 Cllr Clive McGregor was appointed The Leader of Anglesey Council.
When elected a Councillor has 28 days in which to register external interests unless the Monitoring Officer decides otherwise.
In this case, Councillor Clive McGregor appears to have been 14 months late in declaring his interest in Mon Investigations.......a potential problem for The Leader who is apparently stepping down in May 2011.
Anyone want to tie the loose ends?
Stay tuned....!
